Building Green

Sam is a Certified Green Professional—recognized by the National Association of Home Builders.

Serving on the HBA Green Builders Committee, Sam is committed to keeping up with the industry's move towards "building green." Building green typically involves considering resource efficiencies and environmental impact when building your new home. A green home results in a more energy efficient and environmentally friendly home.

Sam offers clients multiple choices of energy-saving new home exteriors, from Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) to foam insulation-innovative options that help homeowners achieve energy savings.

What is an ICF home?

ICF homes offer a new style of home construction that features insulated concrete forms to form airtight, insulating concrete walls. Because they are extremely well insulated, ICF homes deliver drastically reduced heating and cooling costs. In addition to potentially saving a homeowner 50% on heating and cooling, ICF walls are fire, earthquake and termite resistant. Growing in popularity, ICF homes are now being built in many different styles across the country.
